A Logo Refresh for Paramedic Systems of Wisconsin

Occasionally it is simply time for bit of a refresh. It was recently that time for Paramedic Systems of Wisconsin (PSOW) and the organization’s logo.

With Ben – Birch + Wolf’s co-founder and Brand Design Lead – being an EMT-Paramedic himself, we enjoyed the chance to develop a new PSOW logo. We were able to keep a bit of a retro touch via the ambulance model and design. The rest of the logo represents the modern organization PSOW is today.

Design highlights include:

• The logo takes on the shape of a badge typically worn by paramedics.
• The introduction of the PSOW acronym absent from the old logo.
• Making Wisconsin a prominent part of the logo without needing the state outline as a dominant visual elements.
